Corporate GoverenceThis project will involve the student selecting a sector and case company within thatsector, (Ryanair) and conducting a critique of the companys corporate governance policies and practices and the implications these have for the strategic and operationalarrangements in that organisation and how they are organised. This process willinclude benchmarking the case company with norms for the sector, includingreviewing critically how the company performs in comparison with peer companies.This 5,000 word project will make reference to a wide range of corporate governancetechniques and issues to be considered, both conceptual issues emanating from theacademic literature and business press, reflecting practice. Such an approach,engaging the worlds of theory and practice, will allow students to demonstrate criticalevaluation and synthesis of complex issues and material; clear evidence of relevantapplications informed by current research and practice in the area; and wideknowledge and depth of understanding of complex and specialised principles and thedevelopment of ideas and practice..
