Assignment Guidelines
Applying all you have learned and experienced through the last seven weeks will now assist you in creating a plan of study in a content area topic of your choice. This may be a new topic or one that you have taught in the past. You are now going to integrate Multiple Intelligence activities into the learning experiences. Here are the requirements of this major assignment:
1. Select a topic or theme.
2. Specify the grade level and the type of students (ie. general ed, special ed, etc.)
3. List the specific NYSP-12 Common Core Learning Standards that align to this plan of study.
4. Create a mind map with your topic in the center and a different intelligence on each of the eight spokes.
5. Add activities to each of the spokes. (This is an evolutionary tool so add to it as you realize additional activities.)
6. Incorporate and identify how technology will be used and list specific websites you will use.
7. Describe how you will set up your classroom.
8. Design a plan to use at least 2 activities for each intelligence based on your topic.
9. Describe your assessment tools.
10. Include reflective activities for you and the students.
11. Provide a work cited page which includes the research that supports your ideas.
**Please note that this is will evidence your understanding of the course content.
Other tips:
1. If the activity has more than one intelligence highlighted you might indicate that by a color coding system.
2. Collaborative planning with colleagues and/or students may produce interesting alternatives and ideas for more activities.
