Is the practice of normal saline instillation prior to tracheal suctioning safe in preventing infection and effective in removing secretions?
I choose this topic because I have noticed that in the hospital I work (in Saudi Arabia), some nurses do that while others don’t, without a clear guidelines. So I want to carry out a systematic search and critically review the literature to see wether it is better to use saline before suctioning or not! for evidence-based practice

•Which critically analyses ways in which the findings from the research paper (and related evidence) could be used in practice
•Which critically analyses possible/identified barriers that could impact on the implementation and utilisation of evidence in your area of practice
•Provides recommendations from the evidence base (including a strategy to overcome potential barriers).
