Select seven of the Key Terms on page 261. Write a paraphrased definition and give an example (real or hypothetical) of each of the terms you select.
The term paraphrased means you write the definition in a conversational tone. Ask yourself: How would I explain this term to a manager or someone not in this class? You could think of your writing approach as if you are explaining the term to someone at work rather than your professor.

For #1, use vocabulary terms that clarify “…learning environment…”. I suggest you review Table 7.1 on page 276; you don’t have to address each point in the table, but you should focus on section 3: “Creating a learning environment”. I also would review Table 7.6 on page 290.
For #2, you need to be specific about “transfer of training”. Starting on page 291, skim through the text for guidance and use several of the block print terms, andI would like to see as many of the factors of Figure 7.5 (page 292) as possible in your answer. You don’t need to list each of the suggestions in Table 7.7, but mention two or three and why you think your choices are important.
As a graduate student, note “Why?” in #3. Explain to me your responses to the question; I’m looking for “because” in your assignment. You will want to review the last two paragraphs on page 298. Take a look at Figure 7.7 on page 308 and mention the factors in the center within the “Learner control” box. A final hint: read about “blended” learning on page 310.
#4: There isn’t a correct answer to this one; you have to justify your answers. Isn’t graduate school fun? 🙂 Hint: develop a list of “categories of skills” needed at work (e.g. mechanical, intellectual, interpersonal, etc.) and decide which ones would be applicable and which ones would not be of value to video games. Be specific: for example, with “communication” skills, do you mean making a presentation? Writing a comprehensible summary of a detailed report? One-on-one discussion? Non-verbal communication?
