TOPIC: What are two sets of abilities? Why is it important for managers to understand “Ability-Job” fit?
In your essay you must:
• Present your argument in an essay format
• Research at least 4 academic journal articles

This assignment has been separated into two tasks to help you develop the final essay due in week 6. The two assessment tasks are:
Assessment Item 1 (due 5pm Friday week 4; weighting 10%): Write 500 words defining Ability and detailing ‘Intellectual and Physical abilities’. Use at least two in-text references as part of your discussion, and provide a proper Harvard reference for your work.
Note: Refer to Chapter-2 of the prescribed text book for more information on two sets of abilities. You may use this as a starting point, but make sure you don’t copy the material directly from the text book or any other source.
Assessment Item 2 (due 5pm Friday week 6; weighting 20%): Add 1000 words to the previous task explaining ‘How an understanding of Ability-job fit will help managers to identify the suitable candidate for the jobs and possible outcomes’ with supporting theories, examples and your opinions. Write an introduction and a conclusion and ensure your essay follows the proper format, including the Harvard references used previously and any extra references (minimum two academic journal articles – 4 in total) added.
