1. WBS # & Brief Description
List the WBS number(s) of the work the contractor will be responsible for; if they are working only on some but not all activities under a work package, then it is better to divide the work package up into two smaller packages – one that includes only the work the contractor is responsible for and the second for work that will be done internally or by another contractor.
Provide the name of the work package associated with the WBS # and/or a very brief (few word) description
2. Documentation
Define any documentation needed from the contractor; if none is needed then explain how you will ensure that the contractor fully understands the requirements and completes the requested work.
3. Risk
Procurements are a risk response or risk mitigation tool. Describe the risk(s) this contract is in response to; describe how the contract may mitigate or avoid the risk(s). List and describe the secondary risks that this contract introduces.
4. Performance Reporting
Define the plan for how and when the contractor will report on their performance. Explain also what they will report – this should integrate with the project status reporting, including information on scope, schedule, and cost status reporting.
