I work in a manufacturing plant and use lean techniques in assembly and test. There is a huge initiative to implement lean into the office. • Issues analysis – what are the key issues facing the organization
• Audience analysis – create a list of key publics, explain the methods you would use to gather data about the key publics. You do not have to actually conduct the research; simply explain what you want to learn and how you would go about learning it.
• SWOT analysis –strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
• Informal communication audit – examine the communication pieces the organization is currently using, including brochures, ad and pr campaigns, websites, social media tools, and write a brief synopsis of their purpose, intended audience and effectiveness.
Goals and Objectives
• Set at least three communication goals for your project.
• Set objectives as needed to support the goal(s).
Message Strategies
• Develop message strategies and tactics to support each objective. Explain how your proposed project will accomplish the goals and objectives of your communication plan.
• Explain which communication channels or forms of media you will use to disseminate your messages.
Evaluative Research
• What metrics will you track to measure success?
• What is the time frame for the evaluative research? (In some cases you may simply propose how you would evaluate effectiveness, depending on the length of time needed to complete your project and depending upon circumstances that may be beyond your control.)
Time Line and Resources
• Create a time line that shows how/when you will complete each step of the project.
• Include a budget and explain how the project will be funded (by you or your client/employer)
• Include a list of resources you will need to complete the project. This could include personnel resources, particular skills and expertise, and props, supplies, etc. Explain the resources you have available and any resource and budget constraints you will face in completing the project.
The proposal may be approximately 10 to 20 pages in length and may include tables or appendices. Use APA style to cite your sources. You need a minimum of 15 sources that may include a combination of academic and professional sources of information.
