The Hopetown Private House Condition Survey (PHCS) study has produced data, which relates to the condition of the housing stock. Your report should make particular reference for recommending improving the following areas in Hopetown:-
1. Long term empty properties
2. Fuel poverty reduction.
3. Houses in Multiple Occupation.
4. Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) Failures.
5. Dealing with vulnerable and disabled occupants
The report should include options for consideration on ways to improve the figures revealed from the PHCS. The report should focus on housing and associated Interventions but you could mention partnership or collaborative approaches, if you are of the opinion that it will lead to an overall improvement of the private sector housing stock.
The assignment will be marked as a percentage and will be assessed on the following criteria:
1. Layout, flow and structure of the report using Harvard referencing. (10 Marks)
2. Your analytical approach for providing options and recommendations for improvement, based upon the data contained within the PHCS (45 Marks)
3. Effectiveness of your proposals and report conclusions. (25 Marks)
4. Identifying areas for further interventions/research. (10 Marks)
5. Supporting your proposals through effective research (10 Marks).
