Final Paper: 6-8 pp, visual materials, bibliography; due Dec. 5, but no later than Dec. 10, delivered to my apartment. Plan on a 5-10 minute PPT presentation based on your paper for our last class. Your prospectus is due…via Email or talk to me in class!. Please remember, while there is room for personal opinion, you are expected to ground your ideas in research. Create an interpretative essay on your subject, based in fact. I am happy to supply reading suggestions. When you quote from a source or use another writer’s ideas to support your thoughts, use quotation marks and in-text page references or footnotes. Any material downloaded from the Internet must be documented. Wikipedia is not an acceptable reference. Follow The Bedford Guide on the Chicago style for bibliographic and citation style or ask me. Plagiarism will not be tolerated and will result in a failing grade. Use visual material you create or find to clinch your points. Label images with captions Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc to match your reference to them in your discussion. Most important, defend your views with clear reasoning and writing. Be original! All current issues in design are relevant, too, such as sustainability and social responsibility, especially as they relate to your developing practice.
