Format: 2-3 pages (2 complete pages minimum; 12 point font; 1 inch margin all
sides; typed and double-spaced; plus Title Page and Works Cited page.
Specifics: For this paper, you will take the paraphrased information from your
annotated bibliography (minimum of 10 sources), and write a summary of it. You will
synthesize these main ideas, grouping similar philosophies, ideas, concepts, and statistical
information together. You will also note any dissenting views or conflicting information
that you have encountered.
I strongly suggest you use headings. Ultimately, this will aid you in organizing your
research paper and, in the long run, save you time when writing your research paper. In
addition, it is not expected that all of these sources will necessarily be the final ones that
you have chosen to use for your research paper.
Your summary and annotated bibliography will be submitted to the turnitin.com link
under Essay #2. However, you must also submit the following in a two pocket folder:
● the title page from each of your sources (unless found in your textbook) or at the
very least, the page which gives your Works Cited information;
● any pages from sources from which you quote or paraphrase with those parts
highlighted.
