On February 1, 2006, after the two had snorted their entire supply of cocaine, Nino invented a scheme to obtain more drugs. The drugs were allegedly to be purchased on credit for a third person from “Blow” Thomas, with whom Bill’s sister, Sandra, was living. Bill rode part way to Thomas’ house with Nino, during which Nino (who had not previously mentioned his scheme to Bill) said, “I got a little scam I want to try out on Blow, that stupid drug dealer your slutty sister is shacking up with. If this works, we’ll have some more good times tonight. Of course, I’m not sure a lamebrain like you even knows how to have a good time.” Bill objected, claiming, “I can party just as good as you!”
Bill was dropped off at a nearby convenience store where he was to wait until Nino returned. He did not accompany Nino to Thomas’ house because Bill had been barred from going there as he was suspected of stealing from the house. Both Nino and Bill were armed with steak knives. Nino had given one to Bill just before they parted, saying, “I may need a little protection when I get back. Though why I’m relying on a doofus like you for protection, I’ll never know.”
After approximately forty-five minutes, Bill who was cold and bored, walked to Thomas’ house. After Bill knocked on the door, Nino rushed at him from inside the house and began beating on him. Nino was angry at Bill because he was not supposed to be at the house and Nino felt Bill’s presence would “kill” the deal. Nino cursed at Bill and threatened to kill him. Nino knocked Bill down, kicked him in the face, and knocked out one of his teeth. Bill then pulled out the steak knife and stabbed Nino.
After the stabbing Nino continued to threatened Bill with his knife and demanded that Bill go into the house and “finish the drug deal.” Bill went into the house and spoke to Thomas, who said, “I’m not fronting you any cocaine. And get your smart ass cousin off my lawn before he bleeds to death.” Bill left the house and drove Nino to the hospital. But Nino was dead on arrival, having bled to death from two severed veins.*
3. Follow these guidelines

3.Research the law relating to crimes and defenses in Westlaw
4.Assume that the defendant(s) will be tried in Florida
5.Choose only state cases and statutes from Florida (no federal cases)
6.Be sure to cite/discuss to at least four cases pertaining to the crimes and defenses in the case as well as the state statutes that apply in this case.
