The purpose of this assignment are
1) to read and evaluate three recent Social Psychology research articles published in scientific peer-reviewed journals and
2) apply what you learn about it from your analysis and from course material to an aspect of human behavior that you find interesting. You will conduct a short literature review on one of the suggested topic areas, in which you will locate, describe, and evaluate some of the key findings from those studies.
Read these instructions CAREfully, as this is not a typical paper – there are specific objectives and instructions on how to meet those objectives.
Paper Format: The text of your paper should be no less than six (6) and no more than eight (8) pages in length (actually, a longer paper is acceptable but a shorter paper is not).You should include at least four (4) references in your paper (one can be the course text).
Papers must be typed, double-spaced with 1 inch margins, and must also include both a title page and a reference page (APA format). These 2 pages do not count toward the length requirement. Including photographs and/or other graphics in your paper is acceptable; however, those should not be used to embellish the length of your paper.
Acceptable reference materials: You will be selecting and evaluating THREE empirical research articles in social psychology, so those 3 articles will be your main sources. However, in your introduction and conclusion, you may wish to also include magazine articles, websites, television programs, videos, and books. You must make sure, in your paper, to correctly cite your library (or other) research.
