Open the Operating Plan template (found in the Module Assignment Topic) and complete every
page. Make sure you read the content included in the Notes section and use it as a guide as you
complete the plan. You may add additional slides to each section. Feel free to add images and
examples to help visually illustrate your ideas.
This plan should be a DETAILED front-end to back-end strategy for your ecommerce site for your
chosen product category. Remember to draw upon all of the content from this course. It will be
helpful for you to go back and re-read modules to re-familiarize yourself with the content and the
details. Be creative!
Students will be graded based upon their demonstrated understanding of how all the components
of an ecommerce business work together.
Students will submit the completed eCommerce Operating Plan as the Final Project.

Develop a merchandising story that’s relevant for your category
2) Product Page: Include details you would want to note on your product page that are important
to the category
Include a mock-up of a product page you would include on your site
3) Business Forecast: Traffic: Use the Google Insights tool to search for your category and related
subcategories.
Based on the results, note the 3 top months you think will have high traffic to your site and the 3
lowest months for traffic to your site.
