Introduction: The introduction should be ¾ of a page long and provide a brief history of your topic including previous research that has been conducted. For example, if I were doing an experiment on the effects of caffeine on memory, I would first of all define what caffeine is and discuss previous research that has been conducted. The final paragraph of your introduction should introduce your study and include your hypothesis.
Method: This should only be a paragraph but it should describe in detail what you did to collect your data. I would like to see attached as an appendix any material you used to collect your data including the instructions you gave participants in your study.
Results: This should be a brief statement of your results and I would like to see the raw data attached as an appendix
Conclusion: Your conclusion should be one page long and reflect on the results of your experiment / study. You would normally start off your conclusion with a restatement of your results and declare whether your hypothesis was supported. This is a good time to discuss what went right, what went wrong and possible reasons or future studies that could be borne from your own experiment.
