You will compose an 8-page Research Paper (not including your title, abstract, or reference page) on a personality theory and personality theorist from the text. You will choose a topic from the list provided of approved theories and theorists in Module/Week 1. You will examine both the theorist and his/her theory of personality. It is important that you do not stray from the topic.
In your paper, you should include sections on the biography of the theorist, the basic principles of the theory and some practical examples. The practical example section is where your Journal Summaries will mostly come in to play.
Your Research Paper should not be a compilation of your Journal Summaries. You may use portions of your Journal Summary in your paper as it relates to your topic, but you should not simply cut and paste your Journal Summary into a new document and call it a paper. If this occurs, you will receive a zero.
You will use at least 10 scholarly references for your paper (books and journal articles). At least 5 of these references should be scholarly journal articles. Online dictionaries and online encyclopedias may not be used in your Research Paper. Your text and the Bible may be used, but they do not count toward your 10 scholarly references.
The paper should follow APA style and follow the specific directions outlined in the APA Basics document. You must include in-text citations within your paper. Failure to do so will result in a zero for the assignment.
