For this assignment, you will access and view the introductions/conclusions video.
As you watch the video, be thinking about the following questions:
1. Were the introductions effective in that the main idea or purpose statement of the sermon was obvious?
2. Did the introductions command attention from the audience?
3. Was it apparent from the introductions that the preacher understood the needs of his congregation?
4. What methods were used to conclude the sermons? Analyze the methods by explaining if they were effective or not.
After viewing the video, write a proper introduction and conclusion to a sermon by doing the following:
1. Read Philippians 4 and consider the main idea, “The Sufficiency of Christ.”
2. Write an introduction that you would use to give the sermon.
3. Write a conclusion that you would use to conclude the sermon.
4. Your introduction and conclusion should demonstrate the principles outlined in this module’s reading.
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
