A. Developing-country debt has been associated with a great deal of domestic and
international political conflict. Take either the developing-country debt crisis of the
1980s, or the Asian financial crisis of 1997-1998. Describe the course of the crisis you
have selected – how it started, progressed, and was resolved. Then show how domestic
societal, domestic institutional, international political, and international economic
factors could help explain the course of the crisis. Pay special attention to how these
factors affected the politics of the crisis. Give specific evidence about the crisis and the
factors you discuss.

But in general, you would have done better to summarize less and argue more, and to be more mindful of the variables in play.
You’d also do better to leverage evidence better. Your use of historical examples is good, and I’m glad you’re doing it, but you need to actually compare in order to isolate the effect of a particular variable, rather than assuming that it’s presence in a system explains an outcome.
In other words, clarify the independent and dependent variables and find cases with variance in the former to demonstrate its effect on the latter.
