Text Book- (in-text citation) Ford, G. G. (2006). Ethical reasoning for mental health professionals. Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage. ISBN: 9780761930945.
Paper should be broken into two segments:
1) RESEARCH SUMMARY. In the first segment of your post, objectively summarize your research article(s). It should take your classmates through the major ideas, research strategies, disposition, and conclusions (if any) presented in the text(s). In text citation is required for every paragraph.
2) CRITICAL RESPONSE. Once you’ve summarized your research, reflect on what you’ve read and write a short critical response detailing what this research means to you. Is it consistent with your personal and professional experience? Does it help you understand or explain patterns of thought and behavior that you’ve seen or experienced? Has it changed or challenged your thoughts on its subject, and if so, how? Is it inconsistent with your world, your experiences, or the experiences of those around you? Were there holes or inconsistencies in the logic of the research? And so on. Feel free to push back against some of these theories and concepts. Test and them against your own experiences, personal and professional. Challenge them with your own insights, philosophies, and knowledge. Feel free to be bold and take chances. Remember that this is a discussion, so it’s an ideal place for you to audition ideas, whether developed or undeveloped, and get feedback from a supportive audience. I also advise that, when possible, you find concrete examples (real or hypothetical) to help you illuminate/animate your ideas
