As a student who was born and raised in Iran I am interested in exploring the topic of their nuclear program and the ways in which the United States continues to limit their nuclear power. Having spent so many years in Iran, I keep an eye on their economy to check the current worth of the properties and money I have invested in the country. As a result, I am aware of their economy and the changes caused by their government. Their economy can be altered if their major strength, nuclear power, is taken away. However, Iran has a capability to drastically impact not only the entire international system, but the United States too; if other nations do not control Iran�s nuclear power. To further narrow the topic of my study, I have chosen a recent issue describing the nuclear accident in Natanz, the center of Iran�s nuclear enrichment program. Using this source, I plan to analyze the ways in which the United States controls the nuclear power of Iran. The nuclear accident can indicate that Iran continues to use their nuclear enrichment programs, which can aggravate not only the U.S. but other nations as well. As a part of the foreign policy, United States has continuing process sanction with Iran over the past decades, otherwise known as enforcement acts or rules, to control and limit Iran�s nuclear activity; although it may have not been as successful as the U.S. wished. * Such sanctions are necessary to the United States and other nations because Iran has always had a reputation of being involved in terror and human rights violations. Although a bad relationship with the United States and Iran can affect my financials and travel to Iran, I believe that the sanctions are necessary to maintain peace among the nations.
