Be sure to explain each in terms of intent, differences, etc. and how they would be used in the study of delinquency.
2. A Political Science thesis student is conducting research on immigration and political/social awareness. The student interviews a number of undocumented persons in one city (names provided by religious and immigration rights groups). During the study, the student discovers that most subjects are undocumented (illegal) and have committed crimes, or have been deported and unlawfully returned, or have outstanding arrest warrants (many of these persons have children /wife dependent on them for support). As her advisor for the thesis project, how would you advise her? Should she report to the authorities? Does it depend on the type of offenses committed? Tell her to ignore? What ethical considerations does the student face and why?
