Each student is expected to produce a 5-7 page final paper that demonstrates mastery of the core course concepts. Given that learners have unique interests, you have three options from which to choose for this assignment. You must inform the instructor of which option you have chosen by the 3rd class meeting.

Option 1: Literature search. The paper should cite at least eight sources. It is acceptable to cite more than one source from the same author.

Option 2: Biography of an adult learning theorist. Research the life of a well-known adult learning theorist and write a biography. Appropriate theorists include Malcolm Knowles, Stephen Brookfield, David Kolb, Huey Long, and Merriam Caffarella. Other theorists may be considered by permission.

Option 3: Personal application paper. Discuss what you have learned in this course about Covey?s habits.

2.According to Viktor Frankl, from where in life do our missions/meanings originate? Do you agree or disagree? Why? Write your own ?personal mission statement.? After the statement, please explain briefly why you wrote what you wrote. How does your mission statement relate to how you manage your time?
1.Create a time management matrix diagram (such as found on page 151) for a typical week in your life. In the four quadrants, please briefly list the actual, significant activities with which your may deal in a typical week. Be as specific as possible.
2.Create a self-management activity chart for a typical week you have experienced. Prepare three columns. In the left column, write down your key roles during a typical week. It could include roles at home, at work, at the university, or in your community. To the right of each role, list important goals or results you accomplish in a typical week. In the next column, the one on the far right, estimate the amount of time you would spend to accomplish the goals. Be brief and focus on major activities.
3.Using the matrix diagram and the activity chart, estimate and report the amount of time you spend in each quadrant during a typical week.
4.Which of the four quadrants presently dominates your time? Why? What has been the result of this domination? According to Covey, what is the importance of Quadrant II?
5.How is your ?personal mission statement? related to the activities in your quadrants? If needed, how might you bring your quadrant activities more in line with your ?personal mission statement?? Reflecting upon what you learned in The Seven Habits of HighlyEffective People, how will you better manage your time?
