Critical paper/essay, 2000 words (minimum 1990, maximum 2010 words)
The critical paper/essay 2000 words should include the five elements: (1) key question, (2) argument, (3) evidence, (4) intellectual importance, (5) contribution to this field of study.
The emphasis in the essay should be on analysis and criticism. You should avoid excessive description of existing literature (e.g. do not make the essay a summary of existing literature or of class lecture notes). You should try to develop your argument, by engaging with existing literature as the grounding but not the main substance of the essay. Also, you should avoid a journalistic/marketing/business style and adopt an academic style which aims for criticism, logic and analysis in a consistent and coherent manner, rather than a thin description and a sensational presentation.
In general, you will be rewarded for demonstrating the following characteristics:

I will upload files and some sources for you to refer to. The topic question is to relate entirely to media globalization course and about globalization and how it forms one’s identity. I will upload a powerpoint presentation about it and also one about cosmopolitanism and reinforced nationalism. it would be great to incorporate both of these and show how identity formation may be affected by these phenomenons. There should be maybe a particular case study, if you could put in some of my own experience for example i am an irish person who has spent some years in paris studying and now i do not feel entirely irish nor do i feel french and do not know which place i belong to, and feel as though i belong to neither. a third space if you will. you should provide some examples and really have a clear argument. The first paragraph should outline exactly what the paper will argue, how it will argue it etc. it should not be a general introduction. i will upload files for you to be able to put relevance into the course. please use sources that fare related to media globalization phenomenons and topics that relate rather than random ones and ones by specialists.
