The goal for this assignment is to better understand a certain disability type. However, even more important is to begin to understand how that �disability� has or has not impacted an �individual�s� life (through the interview) and then how to apply that to your life, work, etc.
Prepare a paper for Learning Disability and a little information about dyslexia with the following information:
o Disability definition
o Prevalence
o Etiology
o Characteristics
o Description of 2 effective teaching strategies (make this relevant to you and what you teach)
o Summary of an interview with a parent of a child – or a teacher who works with students – with the specific disability you�ve selected. The goal here is to learn how disability did/did not impact an individual�s life.
o Describe how you might apply what you�ve learned to your present or future job. Comment on your assumptions before the interview.
