INTRODUCTION (1ST CHAPTER)
Provide the rational for the project
Why you are interested in it, how it fits your ministry and the big picture of the project. How will this project help with others to do the ministry better? Who can benefit from this besides you? What is the research problem, the research question, and the hypotheses?
– I am interested in this project because I have a child with special needs. I am also interested in this project because such ministry does not exist in Asian church context. I believe many Asian families with special needs child will benefit because in the Asian culture a child born with special needs is something that is considered as a shame.
PREVIOUS RESEARCH AND LITERATURE REVIEW (2ND CHAPTER)
Literature review in broad categories and why this literature is relevant for your project.
Literature review should be structured around the hypotheses and provide at least one paragraph describing how your project will build on or extend this line of research.
PROCEDURE AND RESEARCH METHOD (3RD CHAPTER)
Provide detail about the procedures, instruments and processes used in collecting the data. Need to explain how you’re going to conduct this project (with whom, when, etc.) and how you’re going to evaluate it.
Need to be specific with the research design, including hypothesis, implementation and evaluation, program evaluation, case study, etc.
If you have developed an instrument for evaluation such as a questionnaire, survey, or interview, not that the instrument appears in the appendix of the proposal. Also describe the feasibility of this study.
ANTICPATED RESULTS (4TH CHAPTER)
Based on the hypotheses of the previous section, what do you expect to find as answers to your research question. (It’s an educated guess)
CONCLUSION AND IMPLICATIONS FOR FURTHER STUDY (5TH CHAPTER)
Simple preview the fact that the dissertation?s final chapter will draw conclusions from the results, make generalizations for broader ministry, and discuss implications for further inquiry
How are you defining Asian? Is this population segment from a specific Asian culture; i.e., Vietnam, Philippines, China, etc?
I think probably to Chinese and Korean because they have a large Christian community in the U.S. comapred to Vietnam, Phippines, etc. I am thinking more of my context since I am Korean.
What are you using as the definition of special needs? Are you basing it on physical or mental disabilities? Perhaps both?
I think more of mental.

qualitative probably fits better with this research, no?
Yes they do have websites but not sure if they have a lot of info regarding special needs ministry. I have chosen them because I have heard that they do have pretty good set up and I chose one because it’s in an Asian church context and I read an article about the ministry while back
