The hypothesis: needs to be general and cover ALL the material covered in the survey, not just one question. So something like ‘it is hypothesized that female participants will use more gender neutral terms than male participants’ Your hypothesis MUST be grounded in the literature though, so see what past research says regarding the relationship between gender and use of gendered language and formulate an hypothesis around this.////
In the literature part:
-I did my survey in Australia. I prefer to look at the Australian literature. But, you do not need to restrict yourself to Australian literature. But keep in mind that findings from US, UK etc may not be the same as in Australia – this could provide interesting discussion if the Australian participants produce results which conflict with findings from US/UK.
-Please addition to the reference which I sent use another five academic references. Publishing date between 2001-2012 .
– please use the referencing standard of the APA 5 th Edition.////
-As for word counts for each section: As a rough guide though, I’d expect around a third of the report to be intro/lit review, a third on results/ discussion, and the remaining third split between method and conclusion. This is flexible, though, but the bulk of the report should be lit review and discussion of results.////
Remember also that references, tables/graphs, and appendices DO NOT contribute to the word count.////
