Self-Assessment
The Self-assessment paper is 1-2 pages in length. It is a critical assessment of your work at the practicum site during this semester. The assessment must include your personal strengths and challenges as demonstrated at the practicum. It must be written in APA style. It must have a title page. It must have a cumulative reference page (all references used in prior sections of this paper with the new references for this section). You must have a minimum of 6 social work text references by the time this last section is completed.
The first paragraph is the assessment of your strengths at the agency. This includes those activities which you believe that you did well during this semester. You need to include examples. You must use professional literature to explain the concepts presented. This section is worth 5 points.
The second paragraph is the assessment of your challenges at the agency ? activities that you could have done better. This demonstrates your recognition of the areas of professional work which you have determined that you should improve. You need to include examples. You must use professional literature to explain the concepts presented. This section is worth 5 points.
The third paragraph is your analysis of the work that you did at the agency this semester. This section demonstrates critical thinking skills and is worth 5 points.
Correct APA style is worth 5 points. Correct references account for 2 points. Correct citations within the test of the paper account for 2 points. Correct grammar, writing, and proof reading your paper account for 1 point. Remember that you must cite at least one text in this section of the paper.
