The premise of my dissertation is that young adolescent who were born in Haiti and migrated to the United States are not being reached or fed spiritually by the the preaching of the haitian churches in America. The problem is that they have being influenced by the american culture, many have a language barrier because they do not understand the language as well (creole). Furthermore, the content of the messages are often encapsulated an emerged with anecdote or illustration/tradition/sayings/terminlogy unique to the haitian culture. As a result many young adolescents haitian are leaving the haitian church in search of a church that is relevant and meets their spiritual needs. (that’s all for now)
