Choose three (3) of these institutional factors/designs, and find three academic (i.e. peer-reviewed) articles from political science academic journals that shed some light on how and why these particular institutions matter in the case study you have been assigned. The findings of the articles should be compared and contrasted with relevant arguments as set out in Draper & Ramsay and in LimYour paper should contain the following components:
1. An introduction containing a thorough description and explication of what you see to be the utility of the institutional framework of comparative political analysis.
2. A thorough description and explication of how and why Draper & Ramsay (and Lim, if relevant) think that the three particular institutions you chose matter.
3. For each academic journal article you have chosen, you need to identify the following components of the argumentation:
a. The research question
b. The hypothesis/hypotheses (or argument/arguments)
c. Some sense of the theoretical debate (“the literature review”) within which the article’s institutional argument is embedded
d. Some sense of the research design and the empirical evidence offered in support of the author’s argument
4. A conclusion in which you outline what you learned from these three articles in terms of new information about your case (“new” in the sense that it wasn’t in the Draper & Ramsay book or the Lim book), and in terms of your understanding of the institutional framework and its usefulness from explaining political phenomena of importance.
