An email to ask a professor to pump up my grade Custom Essay

I need to write a long email to ask my professor to pump up my grade. I currently have a 72.98 percentage which is a 2.5, and the grade scale is 73-79 for a 3.0. So I want to see if there’s any possibility to change my grade to 3.0. The professor has already submitted the grades for this class to the Registrar’s Office, so I need to write this email to convince him to change my final grade.
Plus I am an international student who has been in the US about four years to study in college, so I’m neither a poor writer nor a very good English writer, so please make the writing adjust to my status.

1. Made progress through semester:
First period of this semester: not well
Since second period: gaining progress, really put in effort to study.

Quiz: # 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
grade 0 0 0 7 5 0 9 8 9
Exam: first exam is just fine: 26/41 (2.0 or 2.5)
Second exam is good: 35/40 ( 4.0)
Final exam: 49/67 (2.5)
Homework: 100 percent (it’s easy that nearly everyone can receive a good grade)

Need to take a course econ490 next semester in order to graduate next semester. In order to be eligible to enroll in Economics 490, students must have a gpa of 2.0 in all attempted Economics courses.

The grade scale of this course is 73-79: 3.0. My grade is 72.98 which is a 2.5. Is there any possibilities to raise my grade to 3.0 since I just have 0.02 point to earn a 3.0. If I can’t get 3.0 in this class, then I can’t be able to get a gpa above 2.0 to enroll in Econ 490 next semester, so I can’t be able to graduate next semester.

4. Have 5 final exams in finals week. Work in on-campus cafe this semester, have to work at least three shifts during finals week.

International student, high tuition fee, heavy financial pressure, family financial status can’t support for more semesters of study if I can’t graduate next spring. The ec 490 which is required to be taken before graduation is only provided during fall and spring semesters, which means it’s not possible for me to take other economics courses next semester to raise my econ gpa and then take econ 490 next fall semester, so I have to take ec 490 next spring and graduate by that semester or I can’t get a diploma.
I ‘m thinking which one is better to be included here, or maybe both? :
If I don’t have a diploma, I will find no job when coming back to China.
I have an internship this coming summer, If I can’t graduate by may, I will also loss my internship.

Measuring Migration
When data is available, the following statistics can be determined:
Gross rate of total out–migration (GROM)- all people who live a particular region during a given time period (usually one year).
Total out-migrants
GROM = X 1,000
Total midyear population
Gross rate of in-migration–the ratio of all people who moved into the region during a given time period.
Total in-migrants
GRIM = X 1,000
Total midyear population
As was true for other crude rates, the gross rate of in-migration is a little misleading because the midyear population refers to the people living in the area of destination, which is not the group of people at risk of moving in–indeed, they are already there. Nonetheless, this measurement does give a sense of the impact that in-migration has on the region in question, so it is useful for that reason alone. And, it is used to calculate the net migration rate.
The difference between those who move in and those who move out is called net migration. If there are more in-migrants than out-migrants, the rate is positive; if the out-migrants exceed the in-migrants, the rate is negative. There could have been a lot of activity, but if the numbers are the same, the rate would be zero. The crude net migration rate (CNMR) is calculated:
Total in-migrants – Total out-migrants
CNMR = X 1,000
Total midyear population
The volume of migration may be of interest, because it can have a substantial impact on a community even if the net rate is low. This is measured as the total migration rate (TMR).
Total in-migrants + Total out-migrants
TMR = X 1,000
Total midyear population
By comparing the total migration rate with the net migration rate, we gain a sense of the "turnover" of people. You could have a low net migration rate and still have a high volume of people moving in and out. Thus the migration turnover rate (MTR) is the ratio of the total migration rate to the crude net migration rate.
Total migration rate
MTR = X 1,000
Crude net migration rate
Another measure looks at migration effectives (E). It measures how effective the total volume of migration is in redistributing the population. For example, if there were a total of 10 migrants in a region in a year and all 10 were in-migrants, the effectiveness would be 10/10 or 100%. Whereas, if 4 were in-migrants and 6 were out-migrants, the effectiveness would be much lower (4-6)/10 or 20%.
Crude net migration rate

AMERICAN LITERATURE M4C-Nathaniel Hawthorne Custom Essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

Nathaniel Hawthorne was born on July 4, 1804, in Salem, Massachusetts; his birthplace is preserved and open to the public. William Hathorne, the author’s great-great-great-grandfather, a Puritan, was the first of the family to emigrate from England, first settling in Dorchester, Massachusetts before moving to Salem. There he became an important member of the Massachusetts Bay Colony and held many political positions including magistrate and judge, becoming infamous for his harsh sentencing. William’s son, and the author’s great-great-grandfather, John Hathorne, was one of the judges who oversaw the Salem Witch Trials. Having learned about this, the author may have added the "w" to his family name in his early twenties, shortly after graduating from college, in an effort to dissociate himself from his notorious forebearers.
Hawthorne’s father, Nathaniel Hathorne, Sr., was a sea captain who died in 1808 of yellow fever in Suriname. After his death, young Nathaniel, his mother and two sisters moved in with maternal relatives, the Mannings, in Salem, where they lived for 10 years. During this time, on November 10, 1813, young Hawthorne was hit on the leg while playing "bat and ball" and became lame and bedridden for a year, though several physicians could find nothing wrong with him (Wikipedia).
For this case assignment you will read and consider the symbolism found in Hawthorne’s “Young Goodman Brown.” Symbolism is always part of Hawthorne’s works. You may find them in names of characters or recurring objects (clothes, bushes, darkness, etc.), and in other ways.
Assignment Expectations
• Write a 3 page essay that addresses symbolism in Hawthorne’s “Young Goodman Brown.”
