Reflective self-appraisal assignment.
The assignment is an individual reflective self-appraisal project that is the equivalent to 2200 words based on the work completed during the module. The group effort undertaken by study groups / table teams at conference ( two days) and during on-line.
My group/ table team had 11 members including, students from nursing (myself ), physiotherapy , occupational therapy , mental health, child care, social work and two medical student as well.
References statements according to Harvard system correctly and consistently..60% of them should be British, including, NMC, NHS and RCN. And please avoid using more American based journals�.
As this assignment is a reflective piece of work, the use of the personal pronoun (or first person) �I� is permitted.
The assignment is to be presented in three sections (followed by references and appendices).
SECTIONS 1 and 2.
TITLE: WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT FROM WORKING WITHIN YOUR TEAM AND THROUGHOUT THIS MODULE?
(Section 1 task)
Write a reflective account of your personal learning re IPE and IPC / IPW that has been informed during the module.
(You must underpin your discussion using relevant professional literature).
Please note this is not the same as just describing what went on / what happened in your group at the conference days or on-line. You need (using the literature as a base) to give reasons why and how things happened and analyse what implications therefore might follow from this.
You can relate learning to:
� A specific issue/s encountered, or activities undertaken, within your group at the conference days or during the on-line activities (for example, student stereotyping, pre-conceived ideas re certain professional groups, communication dynamics etc).
� Specific information you gathered during the seminar sessions whilst at the conference days (for example, what you have read / heard about a particular topic � such as professional perspectives / values / professional ethics) as well as during the discussions arising from the on-line activities.
� The differing perspectives that may have arisen from the different professional groups during your group discussions.
� If appropriate, you may also wish to illustrate or contrast a particular point by drawing on your experience from practice settings (for example, does your experience of communicating within an IP team at a conference setting or on-line differ from your experiences of communication within an IP team in a practice setting? If it does � again using the literature as a backdrop � say why you think this is so). As part of this, you may also wish to reflect, in relation to your learning, on what you could do differently in practice and why this might be effective
� Alternatively, you may choose to discuss and reflect on an area or issue that makes IP collaboration / working difficult (give reasons & use the literature to support this view) and then discuss how your learning has highlighted what changes would be needed to make IP collaboration and working effective.
As part of the discussion in section 1, briefly identify the learning point in relation to one of the main module themes of communication, contrasting professional perspectives and consideration of structure organization and power.
