You are a new RN, recently employed at the same aged care facility, often working with Kate. Kate tells you she has an idea for her research project but is going to try it out before putting up a proposal. Her intention is to identify among residents two groups; the first will have a history of smoking and alcohol use, the second will have no reports of this in their medical history. Kate will design memory and physical stamina tests and compare the two groups.

Scenario 2 Length 400-500 words

Kate has identified 10 residents who were or are, currently smokers or regular users of alcohol and a group of 10 who have no history of use. They are all between 80-84 years of age.
