Ventricular Tachycardia custom essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

Hi

The assignment is to create and present an overview of a medically pathological condition

using a Power Point Presentation (ppt).

You will create a ppt with FIVE (only!) slides. The first slide must be a title, and then there

must be 3 content slides, and then a final References slide (Harvard format for references).

Everyone must follow this format, although how creative you get with your 3 content slides is

up to you (and I encourage you to be creative, there are marks for that). The topics will be

available for you to choose from on FLO at the beginning of week 2 (first come – first

served), but are listed below for your information. Your entire presentation is to last only 5

minutes, and there is a rubric below that shows how you will be marked. Presentations will

be cut off at exactly 5 minutes, so make sure your timing is accurate!

All ppt’s must be submitted on FLO by midnight, Sunday April 22. There will be a 10% loss

of mark for each day late, up to 3 days. Students will receive a mark of 0 if the ppt
assignment is not handed in by midnight on the 25th of April. Students will not be able to see

each other’s ppt’s until they are presented in class. Presentations will take place during the

tutorials, starting in week 8 and going to the end of the course.

Students will be expected to attend each others’ presentations and to participate in peer

evaluations. Watching and evaluating presentations by your classmates is considered a part

of this assignment. The marks from student evaluations will be used to help determine your

overall mark (so, what your classmates think will matter).

General Points

A ppt must be used in the PBL presentation. The PPS must have a 1 slide cover page (as

below) plus 3 pages of text and/or images, and a final slide with references. Embedded

videos are permitted, but they must not comprise more than 2 minutes of the allotted 5

minutes for the presentation.

The first slide should refer to a fictional case presentation, in an out-of-hospital paramedic

setting, which would be typical for a patient presenting with the medical condition that is the

topic of your presentation.

Note: An old essay with sources uploaded. They might help you some how in writing the research paper.
Attention: I had a serious problem with the previous writers because they were sending me fake sources; they are either not used correctly and effectively, or mixed with each other and not clearly cited, or even sometimes they don’t exist. Hopefully, I will not have the same experience again.

interest in state and local government Literature Review Paper custom essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

Literature Review Paper
Pick any topic that relate to an area of interest in state and local government. (6 page, 12 font, Times New Roman, Use American Political Science Association (APSA) style manual)
This paper will provide an overview of the academic literature of an area of interest in state and local government. Your paper?s intent is to inform the reader of what has been found within the academic community concerning your topic. This paper should provide an overview of all the literature that is related to your topic. You should arrange your literature review based upon similar theories and themes in the existing literature. The paper should not merely proceed from one article to the next but should discuss the common themes and theories that are related to your topic. The number of sources you have for your paper will be dictated by your topic but it most cases you will not be able to conduct an adequate literature review without at least ten different sources. In some areas there has been extensive research while in other areas research has been much more limited. Your literature review should be as comprehensive as possible and attempt to cover all of the relevant literature and not just a review of a few articles. In addition to your overview of the literature your paper should indicate weaknesses within the existing literature and areas where further research needs to take place. Your paper should be fully referenced and all your sources should be cited. I recommend that you follow the American Political Science Association (APSA) style manual, however, you may use any method you choose as long as you are consistent throughout the paper.

Appropriate resources for the paper include:

Academic Journal Articles (Examples: This is by no means a comprehensive list but is merely an example of the types of journals that are appropriate. If you have a question about whether a source is an academic journal article please let me know)

Examples: (Not comprehensive but merely to give you an ideal of potential resources)
American Political Science Review
American Journal of Political Science
Journal of Politics
Legislative Studies Quarterly
State and Local Government Review
State Politics and Policy Quarterly
Presidential Studies Quarterly
Political Behavior
American Politics Quarterly
Public Opinion Quarterly
Political Research Quarterly
Political Science Quarterly

Academic Books (This are books that have undergone a peer review process and
are put out by academic presses. They are not generally intended for a mass audience. If you have any questions please ask.)

Conference Papers (Papers that have been delivered at a professional conference such as the Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association, or the Midwest Political Science Association. These organizations often provide a data base of conference papers or a list of the conference program. Authors are generally happy to provide you with a copy of a paper upon request)

Sources Not Appropriate For this Paper

Popular Media Articles and Books (Articles from popular magazines and newspapers should not be used for this paper. Only scientific articles should be used) Examples of popular media resources include but are not limited to, Magazines (e.g. Time and Newsweek), and Newspapers (e.g. New York Times and the Washington Post).

Internet Resources (Unregulated web pages are the absolute worst sources to use for a paper of this type as they are not subjected to a scientific review process and their conclusions are useless to a scientific paper). Wikipedia should never be used in a paper under any circumstance. The use of Wikipedia as a source will result in a failing grade for the paper.

Note: Avoid the temptation of attempting to write this paper based on the Internet. You should never begin a research paper by going to Yahoo or Goggle as the majority of the information you will find is completely useless. The Internet can be a great tool if used properly to assist you in locating academic resources however it should not be used as a crutch. The most common mistake students make in the writing of academic papers is reliance only on the Internet. Finally, it is important to keep in mind that most of your recent journal articles are not available via the Internet due to restrictions by journal publishers, and therefore will have to be access by other means.

Influential essay on divergent tendencies within the Daoist tradition custom essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

Write an essay on the following topic:

In an influential essay on divergent tendencies within the Daoist tradition, Herrlee G. Creel concluded:

On the one hand we have philosophic Taoism, a philosophy saying much that is still pertinent even in this day of great sophistication and scientific complexity. This philosophy has not always been studied with the seriousness it deserves, in part because it has often been regarded as a system of mystical incomprehensibilities. Another part of the reason is that it has sometimes been confused with the other kind of Taoism, which I suggest should be known as Hsien Taoism [a.k.a. ?Religious Taoism?]. The doctrines that fall under this heading, aiming at the achievement of immortality by a variety of means, have their roots in ancient Chinese magical practices and an immortality cult. Hsien Taoism also incorporates elements from Confucianism, Moism, and Buddhism. But there is one element that we might expect to find which is completely absent from Hsien Taoism. That is the central insight of philosophical Taoism [i.e. ?do nothing (wu-wei) and nothing will be left undone?].1
Although this view is still quite pervasive, a new perspective has more recently come to the fore. According to Russell Kirkland, for example:
[T]he Taoist goal?from the Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu throughout most later forms of Taoism?was to attain an exalted state of existence through diligent cultivation of the world?s deeper realities. Such attainments were generally predicated upon a process of personal purification and an enhanced awareness of reality?i.e., a process of moral, spiritual, and cognitive growth. Once one has fully completed that process, one is believed to have somehow reached a state that will not be extinguished, even when the physical body ceases to be one?s form.2

Does Kirdkland?s chapter on ?The Cultivated Life,? as well as our exploration of the growth and development of the Daoist tradition, provide sufficient support for the view that ?Philosophical? and ?Religious? Daoism should be understood as a single religious tradition, or was Creel correct in regarding them as fundamentally distinct traditions?

value claim movie rating custom essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

plus a Works Cited page organized according to and explicitly follow the outline given herewith:

1) An Introduction giving movie background such as your view of being a member of a movie audience, how you choose movies to see, etc. A clearly stated claim which states which movie you will be evaluating, what rating you give it according to your rating system, the rating Roger Ebert, film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times, gives it, and whether or not your ratings agree.

2) Explain how the film you chose is rated according to your system. Use specific examples from/about the film to support your reasoning?this means that you must include at least 2 quotes from the film as well as any descriptions of scenes that might be appropriate as examples.

3) Compare/Contrast your rating of the film with Ebert?s, using at least 4 quotes from his review. Do you agree or disagree with Ebert?s rating and his reasons for giving same?

4) Choose a minimum of three reviews of the film written by recognized/credible film critics (such as Peter Travers who writes for a nationally-known magazine, Rolling Stone or Mick LaSalle, film critic for the San Francisco Chronicle). How do these critics? reviews compare with your rating? Ebert?s rating? Use at least 2 quotes from each source. Treat one of these critics? reviews as a printed source.

NOTE: If you choose to use reviews from critics who are not connected to an obviously
credible source, such as a newspaper, you will need to prove the critics? credibility by
stating their backgrounds in the body of your paper. This will be very important if you use
reviews from the Internet. You may have to do further research in order to find out if the
critic and/or the website are credible. You will need to include your proof in the body of
your paper the first time that you refer to the critic?s review. If you do not do so, I will
not count that particular source: I will not count quotes in the paper, and I will not
count the works cited entry, so you will lose all the points associated with the
required items.

5) What conclusions do you come to about your taste in films? Ebert?s? Other reviewers? Is rating films necessary since audiences? preferences are subjective?
