Sex Roles in marriage Custom Essay

Choose one of the topics we have covered during the course, and write a 1,000-1,500 word paper summarizing the current professional literature on the topic. Many of these topics are broad and you may choose to focus your research on a more specific area such as when children show resiliency when dealing with divorce. Be sure to emphasize the developmental aspects of the topic you choose. Include an introduction that provides a clear statement of purpose, an analysis of the research findings, and a conclusion that summarizes how the main points fulfill the purpose of the paper.

The introduction needs to explain the topic, previews the major points, provides a central theme, and states the objective clearly.

Structure needs to be clear with subheadings separating each major point in the body of the paper.
Include in the body of the paper:

1) A description of the developmental issue
2) Suggestions from the research on how to prevent the problem
3) Suggestions from the research regarding an intervention strategy
4) A sample case study of how a person resolved the developmental issue

The conclusion needs to integrate a logical summary from the main points enumerated in the body of the paper.

Include at least 3 references from professional peer-reviewed journals. These research studies can be from the week 1 assignment.

Format your paper according to APA standards.

(this is an article from week one assignment)

I. II. Sex Roles in marriage

This article is interesting because I am a newlywed and can relate to this generation of marriage roles. I realized that the dynamics of marriage have changed over the past decades. This article explains and provides comparison examples regarding the role of marriage today and the previous role of marriage. Family structure has changed significantly because of an increase in financial obligations and other factors. According to Krausz (1986), statistics from the United Stated Department of Labor Wage and Employment Standards Administration indicate that women’s participation in the labor force has increased. I am allured by some of the details that the article provides relating to the research in marriage and gender roles. Although women play a bigger role in the finances, women, and men still have their typical gender task in marriage. Men are still responsible for the cars, house maintenance, and lawn care. Women are still responsible for cooking, caring for the children and laundry. Social scientist have gained interest in a woman’s role as a financial provider and carrying the household. I find this research interesting because I am a wife, mother of two, full-time student and full- time worker. The research findings suggest that employed wives, regardless of their type of employment, do less housework and have more decision making influence than do unemployed wives (Krausz, 1986). When examining my household, I find that I do have more decision making influence; however I still have a large amount of housework.

It is expected that the formal paper will be carefully researched and well-written: The major intellectual project of the course that students are expected to complete is the formal research paper Custom Essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

The major intellectual project of the course that students are expected to complete is the formal research paper. The paper must be written in APA format/style. To that end, students are expected to read, understand, and comply with the requirements of the sixth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) for all assignments and manuscripts. This includes the “Ethical Standards for the Reporting and Publishing of Scientific Information” included therein. All work submitted for this course must be the student’s own and may not have been used whole and/or in part for any other purpose without the professor’s prior written permission (if in doubt you must ask the instructor). The student should select a paper topic consistent with her/his personal interests and intellectual curiosity that can be well-managed within semester time parameters, based upon academic and other workloads. Thus, it is important to keep the focus of the research paper narrow by defining an angle on or “dimension of administrative law”. The instructor is available to assist you in this effort. Please note that your paper topic MUST be approved in advance by the instructor using the drop box PRIOR to beginning your research.

It is expected that the formal paper will be carefully researched and well-written. To that goal, the paper must use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The completed paper shall be a minimum of 15 pages in length and not exceed 20 pages (excluding cover, endnotes, appendices, and references/ bibliography). Papers must be electronically submitted to the instructor (via drop box) no later than the last day of classes prior to examination week. Students are encouraged to complete and submit papers earlier if practicable. Late papers, if accepted, will be substantially discounted in grade, unless the delay is caused by a documented illness and/or personal emergency. All written assignments are subject to review using electronic software such as Turn-It-In, etc.

A. Research papers will receive a letter grade based upon the following criteria:

1. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation (proofread and spell check).

2. Knowledge and understanding of the assigned readings and classroom discussions (integration of course materials with research).

3. The ability to integrate knowledge from different sources (texts, library research, class discussions, and real life situations).

4. Analysis of materials to reach conclusions and support them in an organized and coherent manner (critical thinking skills).

5. Compliance with minimum/maximum length and submission requirements.

6. Compliance with required format and style requirements (APA, 6th ed.)

7. Demonstrated improvement, if required, based upon written feedback received from the instructor throughout the semester.

Please read the attached proposal, as well as the included feedback from my instructor on my paper proposal. To insure that you’ve read and understand the assignment, I will place a phrase on the last page of my proposal in quotation marks, please message that when placing your bid.

HCI and Software Engineering CH 2 Custom Essay

The purpose of this chapter stems from the need to demonstrate and validate the importance of your topic and the major question you have presented, as well as the answers to your sub questions.

In essence, this chapter is nothing more than a research paper on your topic. It should not include any personal opinions or thoughts. Look for information on prior studies, demonstrations, presentations etc. to which your work will add in a qualitative way.

Tips for Collecting and Citing Research Material
Avoid collecting research data and articles by the dozens. They all may seem useful, but may be repetitive and time consuming, without offering new, fresh content. Set up a time schedule and allow yourself only a block of time for research. Consider this portion of the Capstone a “mini-research report,” with the purpose of validating the need for your study.

Each paragraph in Chapter 2 must have citations for all information taken from any outside source. No personal opinions or personal comments may be included. Only 10% of the chapter (maximum) should involve quotes. All quotes must be cited with page numbers; all paraphrased material must be cited, as well. Use APA for all but creative or literary topics, which use MLA format.

This assignment has two parts, a review of the literature you have explored for your final project and an annotated bibliography of the sources listed. Consult the attachment for an explanation of what this involves.

Your draft of Chapter 2 should be structured according to the outline given below, which lists the different subheadings you need to include. Consult the explanations given for guidance regarding what information to include under each of these subheadings:

Part I: Literature Review
Write and submit a draft of Chapter 2, the Literature Review, including headings appropriate to the content. Take notes from the sources and organize them according to content themes.

Introductory paragraph
Begin with an introductory paragraph and place the informative thesis statement at the end of that first paragraph. The thesis statement is the major focus of the literature review chapter. All paragraphs relate in some way to that thesis statement.
Body paragraphs
Each body paragraph must begin with a topic sentence and end with a concluding sentence. Every paragraph must contain information you have read in sources. Do not use more than 10% quotes in the entire chapter. Every paragraph must have citations for all paraphrased information. Do not use any of your own opinions or experiences. This is purely information from researched sources.
Concluding paragraph
End with a concluding paragraph that begins with a restatement of your thesis sentence that you used in the introduction. Add nothing new to the conclusion. It is a summary of the body paragraphs.

Part II: Annotated Bibliography
Prepare an Annotated Bibliography of sources based on the references you used for Part I: Literature Review.
Use APA format to create the annotated bibliography.
If using APA format, title this page References;
Place your Annotated Bibliography at the end of Chapter 2 (at this point). This will eventually become part of the References (APA) that will be placed at the end of Chapter 5 of the project.
