Memorandum: A student was suspended from Temple University Law School in Philadelphia. He was found guilty of cheating in two exams, one is Property law & the other one is Constitutional law, now after completing his suspension, he is trying to reinstate to the law school, it’s a memorandum of the student to the dean, It’s a very important memorandum, the student’s fate depends on this memorandum. Dear Sir
I am writing this email regarding my law school student code violations. I was found in violation of Sections II.A. And II.D related to the multiple choice portion of Professor Gregory Mandel’s Spring 2012 Property law exam. I also violated the same portions of the law school code related to the multiple choice portion of Professor William Carter’s Spring 2012 Constitutional Law exam on May 4th, 2012. For the violations regarding the Constitutional law I was suspended for one semester, completed at the end of fall semester 2012.
Sir I admitted that I violated the law school student code. I also admit that I cheated while answering the multiple choice questions on both exams. On Property law exam I sat with two other students Sanjay Tyagi and Sayeed Naqvi (who were also violated these codes) in the same row and we discussed during the exam and I took their assistance while answering the multiple choice questions. Sir once again I am really sorry for my actions and I understand the seriousness of these violations.
Sir I would like to share my experience what I went through during that time which I believe caused me to make those mistakes while taking my exam. Just a month before the Spring Semester exam I was notified by Family doctor in Bangladesh that my father has prostate cancer, that news was a big shock for me, I could not focus on my studies, at one time I thought I would not take the exams, but then I decided to go for it as it was supposed to be my last semester, I was in a hurry to complete my LLM. I was also doing a full time job, before that semester I was studying as a part time student, but when I was getting ready for fall 2012 semester, I took four subjects and I was rushing to complete my LLM. But I did not realize that I put more pressure on myself by taking four subjects and that caused my downfall as I could not give enough time to my studies. Things got worst when I heard about my father illness, I tried my best to focuss on my studies but I failed. I wanted to take counseling from my law school professors but decided against it as I thought I would pass. I was not fully prepared for my exams and when I took the property law exam, I made my biggest mistake as I sat with other two students and we discussed and assisted each other while answering the multiple choice question. Sir I can assure that we did not plan to sit together, I was in two minds while answering the multiple choice questions, I was not sure of my answers. Due to my bad preparation and also due to being under personal stress, I made a bad call as I took their assistance while answering the multiple choice questions and also assisted them. Sir I took law exams before in Temple and I had never committed such mistakes, Sir I was not thinking right, I did not realize what I was doing at that time, but now I realize the seriousness of these student code violations. Sir I understand it questions my integrity as a law student and also as a human being
A week later on Contitutional law exam, I again cheated while answering the multiple choice questions, as I was never really prepared to take that exam. Before that exam I was mentally shattered, just before that exam I took my intellectual property law exam, and next morning I came back to take the Constitutional law exam. When I was answering the multiple choice exams and I was again not sure of my answers, and I did not want to fail and cheated while answering the multiple choice questions.
Sir I take full responsibilities for my actions, I assure you that I understand the seriousness of these Law school code violations and I will never repeat such act. Sir I also understand that my actions would also violate the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct. I understand that I have ethical obligations towards the law school community and also towards my dream of becoming a lawyer. I know my actions placed serious question marks on my integrity as a future legal professional and I know that I let myself down, I let my family down and I also broke your trust. Sir but I very well know I can come back from this, as I learned from my mistakes and want a last chance to prove my integrity and fulfill my dream.
I shared my personal stress with Dean Thompson and he has been a great help, I discussed my problems with him and he advised me how to handle stress in the near future. He has been a great mentor and I regret that I did not see him and shared my problems with him when was I Was going though my problems, Dean Thompson assured me I can come and see him if I go through any stress again, he also advised me how to structure my student life in accordance with my job. I also sought counseling from my doctors, who helped in a big way how to cope with stress and now I feel more confident as a person and I figured out how to manage my stress.
I promise you one thing that I will never repeat such mistakes again and I am physically and mentally prepared to come back to complete my LLM and need this one last chance to prove myself as a Temple law Student and more importantly to prove myself as a human being.

This has most of the elements of what the student needs to fill. However, the student needs to do more than just he say his actions would have violated the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Responsibility. I need you to cite the section(s) you think such behavior would violate. You will also need to include the part about what you plan to do the next time you find yourself in a similar stressful situation.
Finally, I need you to put it in memorandum format. That means, writing it as a paper, and not a letter. Please be sure it is in a word document. Also, I will expect you to proofread the document. You can attach and send it to me when you are done.
Please put it down that If the student found himself in similar stressful situation, he will go to the Law school dean Louis Thompson & take his advice. Please explain what the student would do in his own words if he found himself in similar or any stressful situation in the future. Please cite the sections of professional responsibility that the student actions would violate. It’s very important to mention those sections.
