Paper review of marketing management Custom Essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

An individual student will be required to download five articles related to a marketing management problem from Marketing Management journal and write a consolidated review report. The articles must have relevance to some aspects of marketing management topic covered in the unit content. In particular, you are expected to focus on the following in your report.
 Background of the papers (10%)
(Hint: The background study is done in order to compile in brief all the existing and relevant information that is already present in the paper/s that you are due to review on the topic. This compilation is necessary because it serves the purpose of providing credibility to the whole research. All the supporting facts and sources are gathered through this process).
Note: Please comprehend and bring in all the components of all the papers together under this section
with appropriate references and do not attempt to write background for each reviewed paper separately.
Please follow the same for each of the section that you are about to attempt.
Research issue(s) and identified problems in the articles (10%)
(Hint: A well-structured, properly-reported study must provide answers to all questions regarding the what, why, when, how, where, and who associated with the research. The problem statement offers the context necessary for addressing the why question as well as research gap in the reviewed papers (Tracy, 2007).
Identify marketing theory/theories used in the articles (10%)
(Hint: The relationship between scientific research and marketing practice is to be identified. The main outcome of this attempt should be a heightened attention to academic and practitioner orientations to marketing research, while conspicuously leaving unexplored how both academics and practitioners theorize upon their observations as well as deal with, evaluate and use marketing theory. Specifically you need to identify the theories used in the reviewed studies)
 Major findings (25%)
(Hint: The major findings should consist of your analysis and understanding on the topic reviewed from the articles and not the findings of each of the paper reviewed. You may refer the major findings from each paper to integrate your understanding of the findings)
Implications for marketing managers as outlined in the articles (25%)
(Hint: This section should attempt to state the objective steps to be undertaken for managerial practices in real time, and should bring-in together all the practices outlined in each of the articles reviewed. Please use your language skills to present the specific points and do not list it the same way as listed in the review articles. You get some managerial problems focused, identified, discussed in the reviewed articles of which you can outline some direction to solve those problems)
Your comments on the key issues discussed in the articles/your recommendations (10%)
(Hint: Explore the key issues in each of the articles and construct themes of these issues, and then explore how the key issues have been analysed in the review papers and what recommendations have been placed to engage these issues in the real business world. Having observed the process in the review papers, you are now required to place your critical recommendations for your specific issues)
 Conclusions (5%)
(Hint: Your conclusions should stress the importance of the report statements, give your report a sense of completeness and be able to leave the final impression on the reader)

References and bibliography, references are to be cited consistently following APA or Harvard style only (5%)

The word limit for this written review report will be 3000 (maximum) excluding references, tables and appendices. This assignment is due on 11 October 2013.

Select a life-transition of interest to you and explore it in more detail: BECOMING A PARENT (MOTHER) Custom Essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

The purpose of this assessment is to allow you the opportunity to select a life-transition of interest to you and explore it in more detail. Throughout this unit you have been exposed to a variety of life transitions and examined the relevant developmental issues (including concept of self) and their impact on relationships.

Details:
Choose one life transition from the following list:

• Becoming a parent (mother or father)
• Birth to one year
• Being an adolescent
• Becoming a grandparent
In regards to your chosen transition and using relevant literature to underpin your response, write an essay addressing points a-d specifically.

a) Identify and discuss the predictable and unpredictable elements of this transition and associated life-stage.

b) Explore the impact on relationships and concepts of self for persons undertaking this transition.

c) Choose one noted (seminal) researcher/author/theorist from the past and one contemporary (since 2000) researcher /author/theorist and note similarities and differences in understandings about your chosen transition.

d) Explain the relevance of applying this information to nursing or midwifery practice.
Students are advised to work closely with the criteria and standards sheets (pages 16-20) as a guide to the construction of this essay. The number and type of references required are outlined in the criteria and standards sheets. Students are advised to see their tutor for consultation if they are unsure of what the task requires.

Constructing your essay

Introduction:
This should identify your chosen life transition and briefly describe its importance with reference to the literature. You should also preview the aspects of this transition and associated life-stage you will discuss as part of clarifying the aim of your essay to the reader.

Body:
Construct a discussion that addresses each of the specific requirements outlined in a, b, c, d above. Structure your work so that paragraphs link key points together and flow logically from one to the other. Support each point or claim you are making from relevant literature.
401005 – Human Relationships & Life Transitions
Learning Guide – Spring 2013
©School of Nursing and Midwifery Page 15 of 28
University of Western Sydney

Conclusion:
A good conclusion does not simply restate the main points that have been covered in the essay. In your conclusion you should draw all the elements together and sum up your argument/discussion in a meaningful way. This could include making a summative statement about the importance, relevance and impact of your chosen life transition and the effects it has on relationships, concepts of self and nursing or midwifery practice. You could also make a summative evaluation here of past and contemporary research understandings of this transition. A good conclusion includes drawing the reader’s attention to the wider implications of the discussion and the need for future research or investigation. All sources must be acknowledged when using the literature to support your conclusion.
Resources
• Examples may be available on the vUWS site.
• There are a number of textbooks and resources available through the UWS Library that may assist you. Please refer to the unit’s vUWS site for specific unit resources.

International Organizations Research Paper: The goal of the written assignments is to apply the course concepts and theories to analyze the operations of a major international organization Custom Essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

The goal of the written assignments is to apply the course concepts and theories to analyze the operations of a major international organization. If you’re unsure whether an organization qualifies, please use the Northwestern University library link here to check (The link takes you to the "Getting Started" page. You need to click on the letter tabs at the top to access the list).

The research report should be thought of as an evaluative report of the function and governance of the organization. In other words, you are to assess whether the IGO does what it says it does as objectively as possible. To help in showing how the organization does (or does not) fulfull its stated goals, you should look at things like the actors involved (are there actors that exercise disproportionate control in the organization? Are other actors marginalized?), the structure of the organization (does it favor or disfavor a particular group?), the ways that it interacts with states and actors, et cetera. To get a good understanding of how these organizations work in practice, you may need to use news sources, academic literature, or technical reports from the organization itself.

Each of your essays must include a short case study. That is, you need to summarize and analyze an actual case where the IGO acted to help make your point. For example, if you were analyzing the IMF, you could include a case study of recent IMF lending policy in Malawi to make a point related to the relationship between developing states and lending. If you were researching the UN Security Council, you might want to look at the case of Syria to show how the permanent seats are often at odds on contentious political issues. The important point is that you include not only abstract information about how the organization claims to operate, but also a case that shows how it operates in practice. A useful place to start researching your essay might be to choose a case study and do some research on that first. Then you will get a better idea of the relevant issues/actors/structures you want to look into further for your analysis.

Assignments should be at least five and no more than seven full pages each and should conform with the formatting requirements set forth in the syllabus. Please do not quote directly from sources excessively; use your own words and cite your sources, including between 5-10 academic sources (from journal articles or books). The easiest way to identify whether a journal article or book is an "academic" source is to see who publishes it — if it’s a university (i.e. Cambridge University Press) or professional academic association (i.e. African Studies Association), the source is generally considered academic. If you have any questions about whether a source is academic, please contact me. Spelling and grammar WILL count against your grade (you are in college, after all), so please edit before submitting them. Do not cut and paste tables, graphs or figures, but feel free to include original graphs, tables, or figures as appendix (i.e. they don’t count toward your page limit). The goal is for students to analyze independently.

Note: The essays will be turned in through a plagiarism checking software, so DO NOT copy verbatim from the article in your summary. If you have any questions, please let me know.

All assignments must be turned in before or on the due date by 11:59 p.m.

Your grade will be based on the quality and thoughtfulness of your analysis, the compliance with formatting guidelines, your spelling and grammar, and the length. If you write only 4 pages, or 80% of the required length, the highest possible grade will be a 80%, and so on. You have a lot of time to work on these, so I will not be lenient with shorter-than-required papers.
