HH2800 Element 1 � A Reflective Portfolio (up to 3500 words)
The purpose of the Reflective Portfolio is to reflect on your learning experiences throughout this module, for personal growth, for your own continuing professional development and your understanding of the therapeutic potential of occupation. It is essential to use informing theory to analyse the nature of your learning and development throughout this portfolio. There are three sections.
There are 3 section for this essay
Section 1: Preparatory Reflection (recommended 500 words max.)
This first section is a preparatory reflection to be completed before the beginning of the second week of the module. In this reflection you should consider: u need to use the Boud and Walker module(McKay, 2009) of reflection as a guide.

I have experience for three years in the field of physical therapy
I worked in the field of educating patients in groups
� What you hope to learn and achieve on completion of the module when considering the main aims of this module.

1. I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between occupation, health and wellbeing and also, explore how the context of an activity could impact the final outcome. Furthermore, I aim to learn how to incorporate my personal attributes into practice as a therapist whilst developing further interpersonal skills between myself and colleagues with a view to providing the best intervention for clients. I am looking forward to learning more about the informing theories, the rationale for running groups and the appropriate way to grade sessions to suit particular client groups through planning and facilitating the sessions. To facilitate deep understanding of the relationship between occupation, health and wellbeing.
2. To explore and apply current theories, concepts and drivers of health promotion.
3. To examine and promote clients� activity and participation in interpersonal interactions and relationships, major life areas and community, social and civic life.
4. To develop the theory and skills of group work from an occupational therapy perspective.
5. To develop the therapeutic use of self in relationships and how this contributes to the development of health and well being, including the role of advocate, enabler and mediator.
6. To further develop professional interpersonal skills needed to manage and facilitate change in clients.
7. To explore how contextual factors (such as personal factors, attitudes, support and relationships) impact on activity limitation and participation restriction.
