This paper is about trends, to help here is how I define Trend: a significant change extending over many months or years. It can be identified by an increase or a decrease, such as a rise in the birthrate, a decline in test scores, or the increased brain injuries in football players.
The task is to (1) analyze the rising trend of brain injuries in American football players, (2) describe it, and (3) argue that one or more causes provide the best explanation.
The basic thesis statement should use the formula “X is caused by Y and Z,” OR “X causes Y and Z.”
Tone and language are for an academic audience. Please avoid informal and conversational language.
This 4 page essay should be persuasive; you must attempt to convince me that the explanation is plausible by using examples, facts, statistics, and/or anecdotes.
Before you begin the paper I would like to see an outline; this to to see that you have a clear understanding of the essay & your evidence is organized in a logical manner.
