1. Demonstrate an ability to apply and analyse specific theoretical and conceptual frameworks relevant to understanding global tourism movements.
2. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of current social science thinking and scholarship to understanding the role of tourism in contemporary society.
This is online discussion i need to agree with this statement in academic way i just need 500 words.
this is my class matte statement: There are very different factors that can motivate people in tourism, like the physical, social, and cultural.
Sometimes people travel to find a equilibrium, to go away from the normal day activities and relax on some place that is not the daily activities, when people travel sometimes they can find the stabilities that they were trying to find.
Behavioural psychology also can question the inherent assumption that drive theory is the individuals seek to reduce tension, but some people like the places themselves in tension situations.
The basic needs are also important factors on the tourism if people feel that needs are complete then the person can go to other countries to experiment another culture and try to complete this needs on other countries.
The status is another factor the status on life if the person is happy has more motivation to travel to try completing this happiness.
The interpersonal are like the personal motives to the person to travel, like the reasons that only the person knows, the reasons that make the person travel.
The cultural factors is like the reasons that people want to try other cultures, to know more about other cultures, try others countries cultures and language and learn more about that culture, some people travel to learn more about other countries cultures.
Every person has his own reasons to travel, then are the push factors, the push factors are the reasons that someone travel like escape from the normal day activities, a way of know more about your own personality, to relax like people sometimes travel just for relax , for prestige some people just travel to places with prestige, memories sometimes people want to remember memories so travel to a destination that can bring that memories, improve relationship with family and friends, people sometimes travel so they can do some activities that they can’t do on the normal environment.
The outdoor environment as a social system can be internally or externally induced, an outdoor environment can be visited because there are few perceived alternatives, and that will make the experience more about the social system.
The outdoor environment can be visited also to spend time with family and friends, that is likely to be a reward to the individual, if is externally induced the individual reward is likely to be lower.
McIntosh, Goldner and Ritchie (1995) suggest that are four categories for tourism motivators, physical motivator, cultural motivators, interpersonal motivators and status and prestige motivators.
These are some of the main reasons that people travel to know more about the world, to know more about other people, to meet new people, to learn new things, to do different activities, what people can learn for travel to some places and how can tourism motivate people in different ways to go to other countries to know what the world and others countries have to offer and what we can enjoy and learn from travelling to these destinations.
