If the order is to be delivered one copy of the order becomes the delivery note for the driver. The driver will collect money from the customer and it is rung into the till. The order if it is returned is thrown away. At the close of business, the final carbon orders are added up and used to update accounts (a daily total is recorded in a spreadsheet for each shop) and then dumped.
