Essay Two Topic: Based on the topic you chose for Project One Annotated Bibliography, compose a paper taking a position on the issue and using sources that agree with you to support your position and sources from opposing views to help you prove your point.
Length: The research essay is 3-5 pages double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 point with a Works Cited page in MLA style listing sources used in the essay. The Works Cited page is not part of the page count.

Grading Evaluation: In this essay, the student is demonstrating mastery of MLA documentation style (in-text and on Works Cited page), sophistication in argument style (ability to compose a text that establishes a research thesis and logically moves the reader through understanding the topic and what opposition to the topic is reasonably refuted by the writer), effective use of sources to support the argument, as well as an effective title, sentence variety, and minimal grammatical issues.
