1- CHoose a design for at least four tables that will contain various types of information (e.g. products, employees etc.) The design should be such that each table will have a relationship with at least one but maybe more than one other table in the database. 2- Using microsoft access set up, tables that reflect your design, using suitable field names and data types and field properties. Enter sample data for ten or more records in your tables.
3- Carry out the following queries on your database;
– two queries involving at least one of your tables
– two total queries
– a query involving more than one table
– a make-table query
– an update query
-an append query
– a delete query
– in one or more of the queries described above, ensure you insert a derived field which performs a calculation based on one or more of the table fields.
4- Create forms to display the tables you created in task 2. You should apply extensive formatting to the form in order to make distinctive and usable.
Ensure that in one or more forms, you include “controls” to make the forms more usable. You should include all the following; a list box, an option box, a combo box a checkbox and a calculated textbox. Create reports for the queries that you have carried out in task three.
5- Create a suitable opening menu screen with appropriate command buttons that link and open or run the forms, reports, queries and any other objects that you created in the previous tasks.
6- Again, produce documentation to accompany your application. This should describe the design, content and structure of the application. Should include screen-shots of all tables and forms as well as the relationship design. Give a description of the queries and show examples.
