•b.) A summary of your big idea (BRIEF–one to two SENTENCES)
•c.) A summary of whatever it is your analyzing (BRIEF–this should only be one or two PARAGRAPHS)
•d.) THREE specific, and explicit, examples of how the BIG IDEA is represented in your essay. For example: Selfishness is showed through the characters Veruca Salt, Augustus Gloop, and Mike TeaVee. KEY POINT–CONNECT EACH EXAMPLE BACK TO YOUR THESIS!
•e.) Conclusion that RESTATES YOUR THESIS, and SUMMARIZES the key points
•f.) A proper works cited entry for the book/short story/poem/movie
