I am emailing regarding your application for the PhD. The proposal has been looked at by the Programme Director and a potential supervisor. It was felt that the proposal is well written and interesting however Dr John Smith, (Programme Director,) does feel that there needs to be some amendments before it can be considered further.
It was felt the methodology section was rather slim and the member of staff viewing your proposal would have liked to have seen more information regarding how access is to be managed, the sorts of areas to be looked at and more on the ways in which the data will be analysed. He would also like you to add a section on the nature of the professional development course to be studied.
If you would like the opportunity to re-write your proposal, please let me know by the 12th June. If I do not hear from you by this date, I shall presume you no longer wish to peruse your application and it shall be withdrawn.
