The assignment is based on the theory and conceptual content of Modules 1 & 2 which I have attached and contextually will relate to two countries, which you should select from the Options listed below. In selecting an option, the countries should NOT include your home country (i.e. where you were born or migrated to).
Option 1: India and China
Option 2: France and Russia
Option 3: Egypt and South Africa
Option 4: America and Brazil
Option 5: Australia and New Zealand
Your essay comprises three main tasks and it should be structured as follows:
Introduction (approximately 150 words)
Ensure that you identify your two chosen countries within your introduction and then briefly outline what you plan to do in the essay, how you plan to do it and why the topics are relevant.
Task 1 (approximately 1100 words)
Using a comparative discussion, outline major political, legal, economic and social-cultural issues for each of your two selected countries. Ensure that you identify issues of particular importance or sensitivity which new international managers should be aware of if they were moving to those countries to work.
Task 2 (approximately 1100 words)
You have just been advised by your organisation that you are being transferred to be the senior manager in one of the two countries which you have considered in Task 1 (you select which one). Your posting will be for 3 years and your spouse and two young pre-school aged children will accompany you. You and your spouse only speak your mother tongue and have not previously travelled. What do you need to know and how will you prepare for your new position and living in a new country?
Conclusion (approximately 150 words)
Briefly summarise the important issues you have identified and discussed within your essay. New material or points should not be raised (which were not discussed).
