The purpose of this assignment is for you to integrate and to express aesthetically your expanded understanding of nurturing wholeness through caring at the end of life.
Guidelines: Reflect on your personal experience of growth during this course and any experiences you may have with end-of-life care in your nursing or in your personal life. Create an aesthetic representation of the caring that you have experienced. Write no more than 100 words (about ? page of Word doc) explaining the nature of the representation and how it illustrates your new awakening to the possibilities of providing caring based nursing at the end of life in your practice.
? Aesthetic representations may take any form; examples include but are not limited to pottery, song, poetry, dance, needle-work, painting, poster, sculpture, etc. Please note: Collages from magazine articles are not permitted.
? The aesthetic representation must be your original work, not work done by others, and must be created for this course, not in the past for other reasons. This is an opportunity to allow yourself to be creative, to express your sense of caring in nursing in perhaps unfamiliar ways?remember that courage, trust and humility are ingredients of caring!
? Present to class by posting in Doc Share and indicate under the discussion board for the class to see. This may require you to take a picture of your aesthetic expression, and either scan or upload the picture file into the course.
