Perks often have little, or non-cash, monetary value to the employee. For instance, some employers allow their employees to bring their pets to work, whereas others have pitched individual camping-type tents around the perimeter of the office space and allowed employees to take naps whenever they feel tired. Larger companies may offer on-site campuses that include gyms with free memberships, 24/7 cafeterias with free gourmet food during work hours and for take-home meals, on-campus banks and dry-cleaners, volleyball courts, and personal concierges that provide services, such as sitting at your home while attending to the cable guy.
