Chapter 9 Discussion #1
Chapter 9 covered encounters of one civilization to another and the dramatic impacts they had on those cultures including war, famine, disease, and slavery. However, benefits from such encounters impacted the arts, religion and even food!
Now, think of an object that is common to our everyday culture; a watch, a chair, Coca-cola, etc. How would you describe this object to a civilization that has never seen this object before?
Keep in mind, this is a culture which has remained unknown about and undiscovered in our modern time.
