I only need to order a few pages on two of Yeats short stories. The stories are “Red Hanrahan” and “The Twisting of the Rope”. I am doing a translation of these two stories from English to Spanish as my final project or thesis to graduate from university, but I need to include an analysis of these two stories and that’s where I am stuck. I need to write an analysis of the stories focusing on the ‘Irishness’ they convey, how they relate to the concept of Irish culture and the references they make to Irish folklore, so it would be helpful to add a bit of historical background or how they relate to the irish literary renaissance and what was happening at the time (just small comments though).
My thesis is to prove how much of the magical or fantastic elements can be mantained in the translation to Spanish and how much of the content related to Irish culture is lost, that’s why I need to focus on the aspects that portray something Irish. (Maybe that would be about half of the work)
It would be also helpful to add a small comparison and contrast between the two stories, one is actually the continuation of the other one, but they also work fine separetly.
The other half of the work would need to include an analysis of how the environment, tone, images and characters are created, as well as a syntax / semantics analysis. I can upload the original stories in case it is needed.
