Assignments marking criteria:
Your work will be assessed on the following basis:
1.
Knowledge and thoughtfulness about the topic (Weight 30%)
2.
Critical analysis. (Weight 30%)
3.
Research and inquiry skills including appropriate referencing skills. (Weight 40%).
You must provide reference of at least 5 published research-based articles in your essay to fulfil the minimum requirement of the marking criteria 3 above. Reference from textbooks and/or internet sources will not fulfil the research and inquiry skill criteria.
For research materials you may find our library’s search engine “UCanSearch” (see the link on the home page of the library site) very useful. The search engine contains articles from multiple databases.
Our library regularly conducts research skills training sessions. I strongly recommend that you attend one of these sessions early during the semester. You may get more information on the training sessions by emailing librarytraining@canberra.edu.au
