ANSWER BOTH PARTS

(a) ‘The law as to notice as it may affect purchasers of unregistered land has no application, even by analogy, to registered land’.

Discuss

(b) Ron was the registered proprietor of The Burrow. In 2008 he granted Angelina a five-year lease of a cottage on The Burrow; in 2009 he contracted to grant Neville a four-year lease of a field for grazing purposes; in 2010 he agreed orally to let Cedric have exclusive use of a barn for three years at an annual rent of £300, and he invited Cedric to pick as many apples as he liked from his orchard. In 2011 Ron sold The Burrow to Draco, who has now written to Angelina, Neville and Cedric telling them to keep off his land.
